At Abbey Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing timely and quality veterinary care to all our patients. To ensure efficient scheduling and accommodate all our clients effectively, we have established the following Cancellation and No-Show Policy:
Appointment Cancellations:
No-Show Policy:
- Definition: A “no-show” occurs when a client misses a scheduled appointment without prior notification.
- Consequences: Failure to provide at least 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation or missing an appointment without rescheduling will necessitate a deposit before booking any future appointments.
Deposits for Future Appointments:
- Requirement: Clients who have previously missed an appointment or canceled without the required 48-hour notice will be required to place a deposit when scheduling subsequent appointments.
- Deposit Application: The deposit will be applied toward the cost of the scheduled service.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy – Abbey Animal Hospital
At Abbey Animal Hospital, we value your time and the health of every pet in our care. In order to continue providing personalized and timely service to all our patients, we’ve implemented the following cancellation and no-show policy:
Cancellation Notice Requirement
- Minimum Notice: We require at least 48 hours’ notice for all appointment cancellations or rescheduling requests. This gives us the opportunity to offer the time slot to another patient in need.
- Procedures/Surgery Appointments: A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required for cancellations involving surgeries or procedures.
No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy
- Definition: A no-show is defined as missing an appointment without providing prior notice. A late cancellation occurs when cancellation is made with less than the required notice (48 or 72 hours depending on the service).
- Existing Clients: A $35 no-show fee will be applied to your account. This fee must be paid before scheduling your next visit. Future appointments may also require prepayment.
- New Clients: A $50 deposit is required when booking your first appointment. This deposit will be applied to your visit. However, it is forfeited if the appointment is missed or canceled without at least 48 hours’ notice.
Deposits for Future Appointments
- Following a no-show or late cancellation without immediate rescheduling, a deposit will be required to schedule any future appointments.
- This deposit will be applied toward the appointment cost if the appointment is kept or canceled/rescheduled within the required time frame.
- If the appointment is missed or canceled late again, the deposit will be forfeited.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment:

- If you reach our voicemail, please leave a detailed message including your pet’s name and your contact number.
